PERSPIROMETER

The Perspirometer is a specialized textile testing instrument used to evaluate the colorfastness of fabrics when exposed to human perspiration (sweat). It simulates real-life conditions where textiles come into contact with acidic and alkaline sweat, ensuring that garments maintain their color integrity and quality even after prolonged wear.

Product Information

➢ To assess the color fastness of dyed or printed fabrics against perspiration, a perspirometer is used. This tester is also employed to evaluate color fastness to water, seawater, and yellowing. The fabric sample is exposed to both alkaline and acidic reagents while in contact with undyed adjacent fabrics, which are placed between plastic plates under a fixed load inside an oven set at 37°C.

For detailed documentation on textile testing procedures, consider consulting a professional to ensure clarity and accuracy in technical reports.

➢ All the components of the Perspirometer are manufactured quality stainless steel and are finished in black stoving enamel paint to give them a corrosion resistant finish.
➢ The perspirometer consists of a stainless steel frame with top and bottom plates, along with an intermediate spring plate. The springs acting on this plate are designed to exert consistent pressure on the specimens, as they are drying out in the Incubator.
