➢ This apparatus is designed to determine the ‘color fastness to rubbing’ of various fabrics, yarns, and garments, adhering to both ISO and AATCC standards for comprehensive testing.
➢ Automatic rotations are facilitated by an electric motor to prevent human errors.
➢ All components are crafted from mild steel and chrome-plated to ensure long-lasting and trouble-free operations.
➢ The test specimen is subjected to rubbing against a standard adjacent fabric under specified test conditions.
➢ Following the test, the specimen undergoes comparison with a grey scale to assess and rate the results.
➢ For apparel fabrics, the finger diameter is 16mm, while for furnishing fabrics, it is 25mm.
➢ The grey scale, if needed, must be acquired separately in accordance with ISO or AATCC methods.
